What is management VLAN for Nuclias?
Virtual LANs (VLANs) are a solution that allow Network administrators to separate users/devices into individual network segments for security and other reasons. It enables groups of devices from multiple networks (both wired and wireless) to be combined into a single logical network without physically relocating devices or connections.
In order to create a virtual LAN, the network equipment, such as access points, routers and switches must support VLAN configuration. The Management VLAN is used for management purposes (ie, typically for accessing the switch’s management UI website). For Nuclias devices, the Management VLAN is used by the D-Link Cloud to communicate directly to the Nuclias device. The Management VLAN must have connectivity to the internet and be able to communicate with the Nuclias device.
