D-Link, a global leader in networking and connectivity technologies, has announced the addition of its all-new mydlink™ 2K QHD Indoor Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8350LH) and Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8620LH). The new products provide easy-to-setup, remote surveillance for users looking to monitor and protect the interior and exterior of their home or small office.
Both cameras offer 2K QHD resolution, 4x higher than the standard HD resolution, to provide around-the-clock monitoring and event video recording with unmatched detail and clarity. Integrated night vision allows users to see up to 7m, even in complete darkness – essential for the winter season.
The new 2K QHD Indoor and Outdoor Wi-Fi Cameras use integrated AI-powered motion and sound detection technology to process information in real time. As the intelligence is integrated within the cameras, detection is faster, requires less bandwidth and is subscription free.
When detecting humans, carbon monoxide or smoke detector sounds inside the home, the indoor camera (DCS-8350LH) instantly alerts users, starts video recording or sounds an alarm to help protect loved ones. The outdoor camera (DCS-8620LH) can intelligently determine between humans and vehicles, thanks to its integrated AI-powered technology, while glass break detection will notify users and start video recording or sound an alarm to help deter intruders and protect users’ premises. Its weatherproof IP65-rated design allows the camera to be placed either indoors or outdoors.
With the built-in microphone and speaker featured in both models, users can talk to family members while viewing them on-screen. The speaker on the DCS-8620LH can also act as a loud 90dB siren to scare off intruders when the camera detects unusual activity.
Setup of the cameras is made quick and easy with the mydlink™ App for smartphones or tablets. Once set up, users can view and manage their cameras from anywhere with Internet access. The Scenes feature also allows users to quickly turn on/off detection alerts and record when at home, away or asleep.
