How do I connect my DWL-520 /DWL-650 to a wireless network?
Site Survey
Step 1 Double-click the bar graph icon in thesystem tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen,by the clock).
Step 2 Click Site Survey on theleft side and select the SSID of your wireless accesspoint or router on the right side and then clickConnect.
Step 3 Click OK.
Step 4 You will be able to view your link statusin the Link Info window.
Windows XP SP1 (or no service pack)
Step 1 Right-click the two computer monitors iconin the system tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of thescreen, by the clock) and select View Available WirelessNetworks.
Step 2 Click Advanced.
Step 3 Uncheck Use Windows to configure mywireless network settings and clickOK.
Step 4 Double-click the bar graph icon in thesystem tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen,by the clock).
Step 5 Click Site Survey on theleft side and select the SSID of your wireless accesspoint or router on the right side and then clickConnect.
Step 6 Click OK.
Step 7 You will be able to view your link statusin the Link Info window.
Windows XP SP2
Step 1 Right-click the wireless icon in the systemtray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, by theclock) and select View Available WirelessNetworks.
Step 2 In the Wireless NetworkConnection window click Change advancedsettings on the right side below RelatedTasks.
Step 3 Uncheck Use Windows to configure mywireless network settings.
Step 4 Double-click the bar graph icon in thesystem tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen,by the clock).
Step 5 Click Site Survey on theleft side and select the SSID of your wireless accesspoint or router on the right side and then clickConnect.

Step 7 You will be able to view your link statusin the Link Info window.
If your wireless network is not showing in SiteSurvey
Step 1 Double-click the bar graph icon in thesystem tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen,by the clock).
Step 2 Click Configuration on theleft side.
Step 3 Type the SSID of your wirelessaccess point or router next to SSID. Next to WirelessMode select Infrastructure and then clickApply to save your settings.
