Reset Button

If you have lost your password or are unable to login to theDWL-G730AP then it can be factory reset by doing thefollowing:

Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip intothe hole on the back on the unit labeledReset.

Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds andrelease.

NOTE: DO NOT REPOWER UNIT DURING THISPROCEDURE.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once theWLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Web Configuration

If you are able to login to the DWL-G730AP then you can perform afactory reset via the web-based configuration by doing thefollowing:

Step 1 Open a web browser and type the IP addressof the DWL-G730AP in the address bar (default is 192.168.0.30).Press Enter.

Step 2 The default username isadmin (all lower case) and the default password isblank (nothing). Click OK.

Step 3 Click the Tools tab andthen click System to the left.

Step 4 Below Restore to Factory DefaultSettings click Restore.

Step 5 In the Restore to factory settingswarning dialog box, click OK.


NOTE: DO NOT REPOWER UNIT DURING THISPROCEDURE.

Step 6 The unit will reboot on its own. Once theWLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Note: Resetting the DWL-G730AP does not reset thefirmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back tofactory defaults.
