Internally, one 3.5" PATA/IDE hard drive will fit. The twoUSB ports can be used to further expand storage capacity,using up to two external USB drives.

On the USB ports, some hard drives (2.5" up to 80GB) willgain power from the DSM-G600, while other hard drives(2.5" above 80GB & all 3.5") will need their ownrespective power supplies.

When a 3.5" drive is mounted inside, you can format it intoEXT3, EXT2, FAT, or FAT32.
