Power & Ease

The DGS-3000 Series Fully-Managed Gigabit Switches provide robust connectivity, Layer-2 functionality, mission-critical reliability, and Zero-Touch Provisioning, making it a versatile switch for Enterprises and Service Providers (SPs) who want professional-grade network infrastructure without a lot of fuss.

Reliability & Resilience

The DGS-3000 Series is built to keep running thanks to its robust 6kV surge protection and enablement of a redundant backup power supply. Redundancy is enabled via its support of ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS), which enables 50ms failover times that users are unlikely to notice, while IEEE 802.1AX and 802.3ad Link Aggregation allow grouping of multiple ports to provide further redundancy and load balancing in mission-critical environments.

Quality of Service (QoS)

The DGS-3000 Series implements a rich set of multilayer QoS/CoS features to ensure that critical network services such as VoIP, Video Conferencing, IPTV, and IP surveillance are given priority. Flexible packet classification can be based on various header fields or user-defined packet content, while traffic-shaping features guarantee bandwidth for these critical services when the network is busy.

Dying Gasp

In the event of a power outage, the DGS-3000 Series automatically sends an alert message to the network administrator, with information included regarding the source of the outage, which saves time during the troubleshooting and repair processes.

Identity-driven Network Policies

The DGS-3000 Series supports authentication mechanisms such as 802.1X Port-based Access Control, Web-based Access Control (WAC), and MAC-based Access Control (MAC) for strict access control to network resources. After authentication, individual policies such as VLAN membership, QoS policies, and ACL rules can be assigned to each host. Microsoft NAP (Network Access Protection) is also supported, which isolates network assets from compromised computers.

Robust Security & Authentication

The DGS-3000 Series offers user and device authentication, including host-based authentication and authorization, which enables fine control of network access for each device on the network. RADIUS accounting allows switches to be integrated with backend systems for billing or advanced access control. Address and interface binding features are also supported, such as IP-MAC-Port Binding and ARP Spoofing Prevention.

Savvy Manageability

D-Link Single IP Management (SIM) simplifies and speeds up management tasks, allowing multiple switches to be configured, monitored, and maintained from any workstation running a web browser and with network connectivity. All switches can be managed as a virtual stack, allowing physically separate switches to be managed using a single IP address.
