Why am I unable to install my whole home Mesh system in extender mode?
A D-Link whole home Mesh system contains 2 or 3 routers as a kit (2-pack or 3-pack), which is designed to establish a complete whole-home Wi-Fi mesh network for larger coverage. As a Mesh backhaul has been built for these devices by default, you can choose and set up any of them as a main router and the rest will connect to the main router automatically, or extend the whole system to a compatible D-Link Wi-Fi Mesh router’s Wi-Fi to create a larger Wi-Fi Mesh coverage.
If you can’t set up your router in extender mode to extend your home Wi-Fi network, we recommend you replace the original Wi-Fi router with the D-Link whole home Wi-Fi mesh system instead.
