Step 1 Connect the included RS-232 cable to theserial port on the back of your computer and then connect the otherend to the unit.

NOTE: Contact your reseller if your DWL-1700AP orDWL-1750 did not come with a RS-232 cable.

Step 2 Click Start >Run and type hypertrm in theRun window.

Step 3 In the Connection Descriptionwindow type a name to identify the connection next toName. Click OK.

Step 4 In the Connect To window selectthe COM port that the RS-232 cable is connected to next toConnect Using. Click OK.

Step 5 In the COM Properties windowselect 115200 next to Bits per second andNone next to Flow control. ClickApply and then click OK.

Step 6 Once a connection is established unplug thepower from the unit and then power it back on. The device shouldthen perform its startup procedures and outputtinginformation.

Step 7 Press D to reset thedevice to factory defaults.

Step 8 Confirm your selection.

Step 9 When reset is complete the default IPaddress will be 192.168.0.50.
