It is recommended to configure the preamble on your wireless accesspoint before your wireless adapters. You may need to set thepreamble on all wireless clients.

Step 1 Log into the web configuration of theDWL-2000AP by opening up a web browser and typing in the IP addressof the Access Point (192.168.0.50).

Step 2 The default username isadmin (all lower case) and the password is blank(nothing). Click OK.

Step 3 Select the Advanced taband click Performance on the left hand side of thescreen.

Step 4 Select either Short or Long. The Preambledefines the length of the CRC block for communication between thewireless access point and the roaming wireless network adapters.CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is a common technique for detectingdata transmission errors.

Note: High network traffic areas should use Shortpreamble.

Step 5 Click on the Apply buttonthen click on the Continue button to save yoursettings.
