I heard that the 180 Cam HD now supports remote viewing through the Omna app for iOS without needing a Home Hub (Apple TV or iPad at home). But when I tried to use the Omna app remotely, I could not connect to the camera.
We are pleased to announce that Omna 180 Cam HD owners can now see their camera’s live view and receive notifications remotely using the Omna app for iOS devices. In order to enable this functionality, you need to sign up for an Omna account and link your 180 Cam HD to your Omna account. For security reasons, this process can only be completed when your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your 180 Cam HD. When both your iOS device and 180 Cam HD are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, open the Omna app, tap the menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the home screen, and select the Sign In option. If you have an existing Omna or mydlink account, you can sign in using your credentials. If you do not have an Omna or mydlink account, tap the Sign Up link at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen to create a new account. Once you have created a new account, you can use your new account credentials to sign in. Once you have signed in, your 180 Cam HD will automatically be linked to your Omna account and you will be able to connect remotely using the Omna app. The linking process has been successful if you see a blue ‘cloud’ icon next to the device image in the Omna app device list screen.
